Wrinkle Injections

Wrinkle injections are used to prevent muscles moving - the cause of the wrinkles while dermal and lip Fillers are used to replace lost collagen and plump up areas.

Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein. When botulinum toxin is injected into a specific muscle it blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles in the face. This means that the nerve ending cannot tell the muscle to move. This is not a permanent condition, however, but it will last for around 3 - 4 months. The new skin has a chance to grow without being repeatedly creased. Hence, it appears to be smoother on the surface because it has not been creased by constant muscle activity.

Juvéderm®

Filler is made of Hyaluronic acid as opposed to old-fashioned collagen made from animal fat. Hyaluronic Acid can be found naturally in the body and so adapts better for a more natural enhancement.
As we age our skin and Lips lose Hyaluronic acid – it starts to become dry and volume decreases and creates lines and wrinkles. Juvéderm® can help replenish the Hyaluronic Acid within the skin. Juvéderm® filler also contains a local anaesthetic (Lidocaine), This helps to minimise any discomfort during and after treatment.
