WOW! A SKIN-PLUMPING WONDER ENDERMOLIFT FACIAL IN OXFORD

If you love the latest beauty gadgets, newest treatments and gallic know-how, make a beeline straight into Cannelle. The French-owned beauty salon (in both Oxford and Henley) won the Muddy Award for Best Beauty Salon in Bucks & Oxon in 2015 for good reason – it always seems to be among the first in the area to introduce new technologies to help in the frankly hopeless fight against wrinkles, sagging and middle age spread.

Regular readers will know that my cynical beauty gene is wildly dominant, so I do go into most treatments with a gimlet eye on possible failure, but I have to say that the LPg Endermolift facial I had at Cannelle a few days ago was a brilliant treatment I think you’ll want to know about.

The LPg machine (pictured top) has been around for a while, and can be used on the body to help with cellulite, gently releasing trapped fat – sorry, I don’t know a better way to say that! – and reactivating the natural production of collagen and elastin for skin firmness and volume. As someone who still refuses to get needled, filled or any of that malarkey, I’m watching my face slide and collapse with a mixture of awe and horror, so any excuse for legitimate skincare assistance is much appreciated. QED, I went for the facial version which launched at Cannelle since just before Christmas.

Let me just cut to the chase and show you how I looked during the treatment – as you see the photo below, the left side of my face as been ‘done’ for 15 minutes, the right side is yet to be LPged. Ignore the weird black band making it look like I’m bald, the difference in volume on my cheeks is amazing, don’t you think?

It’s one of those treatments that will massively benefit to those of us who are slowly losing that youthful ‘plumpness’ in the cheeks. And the good news is also that it’s an incredibly relaxing treatment. Unlike CACI or some of those electric current jobs, it works by soft plastic sheets that massage your skin like a hand would. The machine is quite loud and warp-warp-warps away but even that is a bit soporific, so it ends up feeling very pleasurable. Fast too – you can choose to do a 15 minute blast for £35 or 35 minutes for £46, so it can easily fit into a lunch break, or can combine it with CACI, or a normal facial if you have more time to spare. You can do them singly or as a course, depending on time and budget. Safer than the needle, and less expensive too. Sold to the Muddy lady in the corner!
