The CLINICCARE Pure BHA Peel is a mild salicylic acid peel suitable for inflammatory and non inflammatory acne.
It is a light (pH 2.4) chemical peel that will remove the upper layers of the epidermis and although described as ‘light’, often a series of milder chemical peel treatments can produce better results than a single deep layer chemical peel.
What makes it work?
Salicylic acid 20%
Derived from willow tree bark, this has keratolytic, comedolytic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Its properties enable the salicylic acid to penetrate and dissolve sebum, making it a highly effective therapy for acne. Because of its anti–inflammatory properties it is suitable for sensitive skin conditions, such as rosacea.
Lactic acid 12%
This has water-binding properties and stimulates collagen synthesis.
Glycolic acid 12%
This exfoliates the epidermis disperses basal layer melanin (deepest layer of the skin) and stimulates the growth of new skin. Glycolic acid also reduces the amount of surface skin oil.
The treatment involves using the CLINICCARE PURE chemical peel followed by the CLINICCARE PURE mask.
